Solitaire
Classic card solitaire game. Arrange messy cards by suit and order, exercising patience and strategy.
How to play
Solitaire (Klondike) is the world's most popular single-player card game. The goal is to arrange messy cards by suit and order, eventually moving them all to the foundation piles.
Game Layout:
- Stock: Remaining cards in top-left, can be flipped one or three at a time
- Waste: Cards flipped from stock
- Tableau: Seven columns of cards dealt at game start, only top card face-up
- Foundation: Four empty spaces in top-right, place A to K in same suit
Movement Rules:
- In tableau, move a card onto another card that is 1 higher and opposite color (e.g., red 6 on black 7)
- K or sequences starting with K can be placed on empty columns
- A can be moved to foundation, then continue with 2, 3...K in same suit
- Face-down cards in tableau can be flipped
Game Strategy:
- Prioritize Hidden Cards: Flip face-down cards in tableau quickly to increase move options
- Free Up Empty Columns: Empty columns can temporarily hold K, increasing flexibility
- Use Stock Wisely: Don't rush to exhaust stock, keep some for later adjustments
- Plan Foundation Moves: Sometimes delaying moving cards to foundation, keeping in tableau may be better
Win Condition: All 52 cards placed in four foundation piles in same suit order A-K.
